A memory:

As a child, I remember playing in your backyard on Seminary street. Present were you Steve and you Joel, and also cousin John, and perhaps cousins Ellen and Janet.

Your mother came out of the house with some matzo crackers with jam to offer us. Small kindnesses like that stick in one's mind over the years.

Condolence: We extend our condolences to the family of Ruth PINK who departed for the Heavenly abode.May her soul rest in eternal peace and God give strength to her family to bear the loss of such a caring and loving person.We had known Ruth for several decades from our stay in Yarmouth and very much aware of her dedicated involvement in community activities.She has been a leader in Fund raising for Yarmouth Hospital foundation , The Ladies Auxillary , and Yarmouth YMCA. She also supported other charitable organizations and donated generously. She lead a very productive and dynamic life.
She was blessed with a very caring family.

Sorry I can't be in Yarmouth today, but my thoughts are with you.
Ruth Pink was a matriarch of her family, her community, and the Jewish community of Atlantic Canada. I first met Ms. Pink over 50 years ago when she used to come to Halifax and spend time with my late mother on Hadassah matters. Ruth was a consistent and generous supporter of UJA and Israel and example for all. I know that her spirit will leave on in the actions and deeds of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
