The Jokester Uncle

I have memories of Uncle Mark from when I was a young child. Some have been told to me and some are mine. My parents used to tell me that when I was a baby and Uncle Mark and Merlin were still teenagers they would come to visit and wake me up to play and bring me presents. While I don't remember these moments they cemented my relationship with my uncles and forged a bond. What I remember most about Uncle Mark from when my brother and I were young was his laughter, his jokes, and his pranks he would help us pull on our father (Milford). He was the cool uncle who did exciting things and travelled and told great stories. I loved the things he would tell us about our father...the things HE probably wouldn't want us to know about what he was up to when he was younger. Over the years of my life Mark was in and out as he was on his own life journey but we always managed some quality time, no matter how brief. Like all my aunts and uncles, he has been a huge part of my life. I was away working the summer Uncle Mark married Eileen so I didn't meet her and Denise, Tammy, and Michelle until much later. Another wonderful thing that Uncle Mark did for me was bring Eileen into my life. I didn't just gain another wonderful aunt but I also found a dear friend who has supported and loved me in the short time we have known each other. My condolences and love to my family who has lost a wonderful part of us. Uncle Mark, I hope you are at peace now. Know that you are loved and remembered. Jacquelyn
