Condolence: Max Mood; A Good Man With A Good Name

Max Mood was a good man
and he has a real good name;
In regards to his cherished and grieving family
things will never be the same.
Out thoughts and prayers are with you folks
in the loss of your loved one;
Your precious memories of him will linger on
though his journey here is done.
Max was a pure bred Kempter
and he lived there his entire life;
It could be said his world revolved
around his children and his wife.
To say you folks have been richly blessed
would be an understatement, that's for sure;
The values imparted in you by this man
they will live on forevermore.
Max had many endearing qualities
And I'm going to touch on just a few;
What made him a good man in my sight
is that he was humble, kind and true.
He was a passive man by nature
but yet on the other hand;
You can bet for sure you'd feel his wrath
if he caught you trespassing on his land.
He was never one to seek the limelight
and he was certainly not the wordy kind;
But the way in which he lived his life
we would be wise to bear in mind;
That we, too, influence those around us
by the things we do and say;
In my view we're in dire need
of more Max Moods today!
For Max was as honest as the day is long
and his word was his bond;
He was extremely wise in many ways
and he could not easily be conned.
Was he perfect? absolutely not
for there's only One that ever was;
But was he a good man? absolutely yes!
in spite of his faults and flaws.
Max made his living trucking
and working off the land;
He took great pride in his property
and pride in whatever he set his hand.
God granted Max a lengthy life
four score and five, all told;
The latter years have not been easy for him
this seems to be the price we pay for getting old.
In regards to this good man that I've written about
I realize I've only touched the surface of his earthly story;
I'm confident his family would want it said
to God Be All The Glory.
