Lorne Max "Max"  Mood
MOOD, Lorne “Max”- 85, was called home to meet his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 with his family by his side. Born in Yarmouth Co., on April 13, 1928 he was the son of Lawrence and Vera (Crowell) Mood. He spent many years in the logging/trucking business hauling not only logs, but firewood to many in Yarmouth County. He loved farming, having blueberries, cattle, horses, and was especially fond of his oxen. Max enjoyed many family hunting trips to Dugas Lake with his oxen over the years. Max is survived by his loving wife, Elaine (Gray) East Kemptville, Yarmouth Co., N.S.; his mother, Vera (Crowell) Mood, The Meadows Nursing Home, Yarmouth, N.S.; sons, Kevin (Marilyn), Bridgewater, N.S.; Kendrick (Carolyn), East Kemptville, Yarmouth Co., N.S.; Derek (Jean), East Kemptville, Yarmouth Co., N.S.; daughters, Sandra (Wayne) Hayes, New Maryland N.B.; Heather Mood ( Harold Buzzell), Smithfield, Maine; grandchildren, Krista, Karen, Kara, Meagan, Trevor, Ryan, Darren, Cole; and 5 great-grandsons; brothers, Roger (Hazel), Richfield, Digby Co., N.S.; Garth (Amy), Wellington, Yarmouth Co., N.S.; Gladys (William) Goodwin, Kemptville, Yarmouth Co., N.S.; Linda (Scott) Ring, Kemptville, Yarmouth Co., N.S. He was predeceased by his father, Lawrence Mood. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Friday, November 29, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joey Ring and Rev Richard Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Hatfield Memorial Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory can be made to the Victory Baptist Church, Kemptville, Yarmouth Co, N.S.
