Condolences

Condolence From: Chheryl Burchell (nee Whitehouse)
Condolence: To both Bruce and Susan:

My sincerest condolences. I too lost my dad this year at the age of 90. Unfortunately, his last few months were not good ones. Be happy that your dad lived a full and long life and didn't suffer long at the end.

He was such a wonderful gentleman and a definite asset to his community. No one could say otherwise.

Susan - I still live at 52 Porter and my # is (902) 742-7966. I only learned of your dad's passing 5 pm the day of his funeral, otherwise I would have been there. Would love a visit with you or a chat via phone if you can find the time. Not knowing where you're staying, I tried your dad's #, but the mailbox was full. I work for the provincial gov't part-time and am not available until Tues./Aug. 2nd. In my particular line of work, weekends and holidays are of no account. If you feel you can fit in a visit or chat, call my # and we can set up a time.

All My Best To Both Of You!

Condolence From: Ruth Kennedy and Family
Condolence: When I think of Ken, I always think of what a pleasure it was to drive to Yarmouth and know that we would be staying with Ken and Ruby and my Aunt Violet. My mom and dad, Gladwin and Nettie Joudrey always spoke of their wonderful memories of their time spent at Ken and Ruby's cottage.

Ken was such an easy going man who seemed to always try to make life easier for others. We will remember him, not just for his lovely smile, but also for doing kind deeds for others.

Condolence From: Bruce Bishop
Condolence: My sympathy to you, Bruce, your sister and the extended family. Your Dad was an outstanding volunteer who contributed much to the town over the years, and who was a genuinely 'nice guy'. All of that is a nice legacy with which to leave Yarmouth.

Condolence From: Sandra Wells
Condolence: Very sorry to hear of the passing of your father, Bruce & Susan. After not seeing Ken for several years, myself and my youngest daughter Emma got to share a bowl of famous Yarmouth seafood chowder with him & my Uncle Ron Ellis a few years ago (his treat..thanks so much Ken)! Close to 90 years old at the time, "Uncle Ken" hadn't changed at all, still as sharp, interesting & funny as I'd always remembered. He never missed sending a Christmas card with news of what was happening with you both Sue and Bruce. I have very fond memories of summer days with your family at the camp at Lake Jessie. So much so that I have a daughter named Jessie! Deepest condolences to you both from myself, my family and my mother(Ken's 1st cousin) Muriel Earl.
