MAUGHAN John Dennis – age 71 of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia passed away on September 2, 2018 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in England on March 22, 1947 he was a son of the late John Maughan and Gertrude (Thurston) Drew. John worked at the Saint John Dry Dock for a short time in his younger years. He is survived by his brother, Jim (Heather) Maughan, niece Melissa Maughan, great niece Madison Maughan, all of Rothesay NB; nephew Carter (Heather Hardy) Maughan, great niece Ava Maughan, great nephew Eli Maughan, St. John’s NL; Aunt and Uncle Gordon and Helene Young, Rothesay, NB; and Edgar and Marjorie Landers, Sanford, NS; and many cousins. Besides his parents John was predeceased by his Step father Thomas Drew, Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Sanford Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
