Great flying mate

From the time the helicopter started doing patrols in the area Jack was the most frequent DFO Observer we carried. These flight were in all types of weather and at all times of the day and the interaction of the crew was important to the effectiveness and the safety of the helicopter.

Jack was a great crewmate on all his flights. He was professional, prepared and , if we deployed away, he was a great "running" mate and I am not talking about running shoes.

It was always a joy to see Jack's name on the manifest.

Joan and I were lucky enough to continue to interact with Jack and Sue after the helicopter contract ceased and we loved our talks during the Wharf Rat Rally when we camped at Fundy Spray.

It is so sad to see this man go especially because he leaves his loving partner Susan behind.
