My heartfelt condolences to Mitch and Willie, our thoughts are with you during this time. We have many good memories of going out to eat and the trips to the Tattoo in Halifax. She was a special lady and will be sorely missed.

My sincere condolences to the family of Dot. Knew Dot from the Unemployment Insurance Office. She always had this little smile and was always present at someone's retirement from the office.

Dorothy “Dot” was my first supervisor when I started work at the Unemployment Insurance Commission back around 1974. I have many good memories of working with Dot who was very particular and serious about the way our work was completed and at times seemed quite strict. But I/we grew from her teachings and came to be quite fond of her. I recall Dot being an avid reader of novels. She could always be found with a book in hand during break time. We remained friends and after she retired would always take time to chat when meeting by chance down town or at church. Last April she celebrated her 100 year birthday and I, along with many of former co-workers visited with her throughout the day at her Treasured Memories home. So happy to have known this remarkable woman. Rest In Peace dear friend.

I first met Dotti when she was 92 and still living in her house on Alma St. I had an apartment next door and we spent many hours talking about old times and her experiences growing up and through life. I visited her often at Treasured Memories me with a writing pad so she didn't need her hearing aide to converse. I am very sorry I didn't know of her passing until after her funeral. Dot was a very special lady who took changes in her life without a fuss or complaint. She was a dear sweet friend and lady and will be sadly missed. My condolences to her nephew and niece. Dotti as she had me call her has left a deep impression in my life and will never be forgotten.
