POWELL, Dorothy Frances – age 100, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2019 at Treasured Memories Seniors Home in Yarmouth. Born in Yarmouth on April 24, 1918 she was a daughter to the late Alfred and Margaret (Muise) Powell. Dorothy worked at the Unemployment Insurance Company for 34 years. She was also a devoted member of Saint Ambrose Co Cathedral and the Catholic Women’s League. Besides her parents Dorothy was predeceased by her brother, Alfred and a sister, Margaret. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday April 17,2019 at 10 A.M. at St Ambrose Co Cathedral with father Henry Smolenaars officiating. Interment will follow in Our lady of Calvary Cemetery.
