Obituary for William Ernest "Jack" Samms

SAMMS, William Ernest “Jack” – age 85, of Hebron, Yarmouth Co., N.S. passed away on April 20, 2015 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Jack was born in Yarmouth on January 5, 1930 and was a fisherman all of his life. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 61, Yarmouth and an elder in the Eastern Woodland Métis Association. Jack was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by many nieces and nephews and his lifelong friend Mary Lou Parker. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral by his request. Donations in memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
