GATES Wendy Ann - Age 66 of Yarmouth , N.S. Passed away peacefully with family by her side on September 2nd , 2018 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born November 23rd , 1951 she was the daughter of the late Gerald Pippy and June Shaver . Wendy was a loving wife , mother and grandmother who loved her family very much . She worked at the China Court Restaurant for 18 years and also worked at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 61 for 15 years until she became ill . She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years Kevin Gates ; her son Steven ( Nicole ) Jacquard ; daughter Trina Jacquard ; Pre-Deceased son Gerard Jacquard ( 6 months ) also survived by grandchildren Alisa , Alex , Tyler ( Taylor Allen ) , Ryan ( Courtney Cottreau ) and Meaghan ( Colin Deveau ) ; sisters Charlene Gould , Marlene ( Donnie ) Cook , Elsa ( Kevin ) Barry , Karla ( Robin ) Robicheau ; Brothers Joey ( Adeline ) Pippy , Randy ( Kelly ) Pippy , Shaun ( Fran ) Pippy and Dana ( Terra ) Pippy and many nieces and nephews including a very special nephew Colin ; sister in law Florence ( Bert ) Power . Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A celebration of life will be held Thursday September 6, 2018 at 2 P.M. with Rev. A.D. “Bill” Newell officiating. Interment will follow in Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to the Lung Associating on Nova Scotia.
