Wallace Francis  Moffatt
Moffatt, Wallace Francis “Fluff” age 77, of Brooklyn, Yarmouth N.S. passed away on January 25, 2017 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth, NS on November 13th, 1939 he was the son of the late Edith (Moffatt) Lawrence and stepson to William Lawrence. Wallace was a hard working man who first worked for the Pepsi Company and later worked for R&D Harris for 40+ years. He loved to listen to Johnny Cash music and enjoyed fishing in his spare time in his younger years. In his later years he would frequent Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery to have a yarn with the workers. Wallace loved to take part in good conversations with family and friends and also enjoyed learning about his family history. He is survived by his former spouse, Carolyn Moffatt; daughter, Colleen Moffatt; son, Dale Moffatt, both of Yarmouth; brother, Robert Lawrence; sister, Norma (Orval) Benn, Sarnia ON; granddaughter, Carrie Moffatt; nephews, Brad, Greg, Chad, and Calvin Lawrence, Corey Benn, Johnny Hubbard; nieces, Nancy Benn, Charlene Lawrence, Tammy (Scott) O’Connell; great nephews, Joel Lawrence, Tristan Hubbard, Ryan O’Connell, Josh O’Connell; and great niece, Megan Lawrence. Besides his parents Wallace was predeceased by his brothers, Bryan and Ronald Lawrence. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will take place Saturday, February 4th from 1-2 p.m. from Sweenys Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral will follow visiting hours at 2 p.m. with Pastor Robert Gates officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to a Go Fund Me page to assist the family found at https://www.gofundme.com/finacial-need, Canadian Red Cross, N.S.
