GOODWIN, Shirley Marie- age 77, of Yarmouth Nova Scotia, passed away on November 16, 2016 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Middleton, N.S., on February 15, 1939 she was a daughter to the late Joseph Howard and Iona L. (Nickerson) Mailman. Shirley was employed with MT&T for her working career and a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Yarmouth. In her spare time she loved to garden, go motorcycling and loved the ocean. Shirley was also known to have a great love for animals. She is survived by her brother, Greg (Charlotte) Mailman, Nictaux, N.S., sisters, Joan F. Wyman, Yarmouth; Joyce A (Wayne) DeVine, Nictaux, N.S., and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Goodwin in 2011. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Cremation, Yarmouth. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held Monday November 21, 2016 at 1 P.M. from Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Interment will follow in Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to Temple Baptist Church or charity of choice.
