Obituary

ROBICHEAU, Shirley Ruth – age 68, of Port Maitland, Yarmouth Co., N.S. passed away peacefully with her loving husband, Dan, and daughter, Mariah, by her side on November 14, 2020, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth on September 13, 1952, she was a daughter to the late Merle and Mildred (King) Wetmore. Shirley worked as a continuing care nurse for over 40 years. She worked at Tidal View Manor in Yarmouth for 25 of those years and then in the Yukon for another 15 years. Shirley was a very spiritual person who loved her family and dog "Echo" dearly. She was happiest when camping, walking on the beach with her husband and grandson, hiking in the Yukon, and kayaking. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Charles "Dan" Robicheau; daughters, Daliah Robicheau (Jeff Hurlburt), Yarmouth; Mariah Morningstar, Yarmouth; brothers, Ben (Debbie) Wetmore, Digby; Gary Wetmore, Bridgewater; sisters, Betty Parker, Windsor; Sarah Rose, Cedar Lake; grandchild, Atreyu Morningstar; and special friend Matthew Morningstar. Cremation has taken place as per Shirley's wishes. Donations in memory may be made to the Yarmouth Food Bank. I was lucky enough to know and work with Shirley when she was in the Yukon. She left the Territory better than she found it. She was a great nurse and a wonderful soul. Sending heartfelt condolences from the Yukon 💜

So sorry to hear this! Shirley was such a Beautiful Energy, worked with her for many years, and was always delighted to be supervised by her. Her Kindness, straightforward ways were a breath of fresh air. Many long nights on A Wing made much easier with Shirley, as our guide. I will always treasure my many memories of her, and be forever grateful to have been fortunate enough to have spent time with her. My heart feels sad to hear this, but my logic mind says, she lived her life, her way, and to the fullest. Journey Onward, Sweet Lady....🙏🏻♥️
