Smith, Ruth Lillian- age 86, of Yarmouth, N.S. passed away on August 29th, 2016 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth on November 11th, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Glendon and Stella (Luker) Moses. Ruth worked as a legal secretary for 41 years in Ontario before moving back in 1993 to Yarmouth for her retirement. In her spare time Ruth loved to read. She is survived by her son; Richard (Margaret) Smith (Wellington), Sisters; Roseline Whitehouse, (Hebron) and Josephine Finlay, (Dayton), Grandchildren; Ronald, Sarah and Kristen, Great Grandchildren; Bryden, Jovi, Jayden and Payton. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Ronald A. Smith, Sister; Muriel Bain and Brothers; Lloyd Moses and Vernon Moses. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery Saturday, September 3,2016 at 2:00pm with Rev. A.D. “Bill” Newell officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
