Condolence: To everyone who knew my father,
I wanted to thank everyone for their kind words of comfort during this time. My Dad was a very lucky man having found the love of his life. For living long enough to be a great-grandfather. For having found a place to retire that he loved and for having a life that was filled mostly with laughs and wonderful family memories. I do not believe he would want anyone crying or feeling badly for him. I know I do not want anyone feeling badly for me. I loved him and he me. We laughed every single time we met including this last time recently. We did not hide anything from each other and were always there for each other. Is there anything more we could ask for? So join me in thinking of some joke, good or bad that he told you in your time with him. Say the joke as best you can, he had a way of making a horrible joke funny. I got married this past weekend and his spirit was there. We all told bad jokes as often as we could think of them. Dad I love you and thank you for coming to my wedding in the only way you could.
