CHURCHILL, Ralph Dennis - age 95, of The Meadow's Home for Special Care passed away on the morning of Saturday, October 3rd, 2015. Born in Plymouth, Yarmouth County, NS on July 24th, 1920 he was the youngest child of the late Adolphus and Laura Churchill. Ralph was a Veteran, small vegetable farmer, mechanic, school bus driver and well respected member of his community and of the Plymouth/Pleasant Lake United Baptist Church. He used to enjoy sitting back to watch a good ball game on TV, planting a garden and working in the woods. He is predeceased by both parents, his sister Doris (Robbins), his son Malcolm and his loving wife of 70 years, Mabel. He was a much loved father and grandfather and is survived by daughters, Gaile (Roger) Smith, Chebogue; Catherine (Wayne) Hopkins, Plymouth; son, Kenneth Churchill, Bridgewater; grandchildren, Krista Smith, Paula (George) Watkins, Gina (Harold) Smith; great grandchildren, Dawson and Marissa Hadley, Meggan and Josh Watkins, Tristan Thibeau, William and Benjamin Anthony. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 6th from 1-2 p.m. in Sweenys Funeral Home Chapel where the funeral service will then be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Donald Moses officiating. Interment will take place in Plymouth Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to the Plymouth Cemetery Fund.
