FEVENS, Phyllis Frances- age 97 of Overton passed away on December 7, 2017 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. Born April 17, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Roy and Maude (Jeffery) Durkee. Phyllis is survived by 5 daughters, Sherrell Smith, Hamilton ON; Gloria (Wayne) Akin, Nictaux ; Delores (John) Spencer, Wolfville; Gail (Douglas) Brown; Casey Corner Kings Co; Jennifer (Wayne) Cushing, Pembroke Yarmouth Co; sons, Douglas , Halifax; James (Merle), Overton Yarmouth Co; 14 grandchildren , many great grandchildren, and several great great-grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, S. Guy Fevens; daughter in infancy, Heather; brother, Douglas Durkee. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Friday December 8, 2017 from 2-4 P.M. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 2 P.M. in Sweenys Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Turpin officiating. Interment will follow in Chegoggin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to the I.W.K, Faith Memorial Baptist Church, or a charity of your choice.
