Ellis, Paul Arnold, 53, Glenwood, passed away January 10th, 2018 with his loving family by his side. Born April 6th, 1964 in Yarmouth. Paul is survived by his loving wife Christine (Reece) Ellis, Glenwood; sons; Zachery Ellis, Markham Ontario; MacKenzie Ellis, Thorold Ontario and Adam (Sheryl) Marazzo, Philippines. He is also survived by his parents Arnold and Bernise Ellis Yarmouth; twin sister Paula (Fil) Piazza, Florida; Patricia (Norm) Tinkham, Mapleridge BC; paternal grandmother Dorothy Ellis, Yarmouth; maternal grandmother Bertha Frappier, Metaghan Center ;many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Paul served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 15 years and retired early to help bring up his boys. Paul was involved in many charitable events for MS, Meals on Wheels and The Ride to conquer Cancer. Paul was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2005 and went through radiation that put him into remission for 11 years. In that time he continued his charity work and helped a lot of people with The Brain Tumor foundation of Canada. Paul was active in the Royal Canadian Legion in St.Catharines ON, helping out at fish fries and poppy sales for Remembrance Day. There was a special family in our lives, the Stevens. They were always there for us and Paul considered their daughter Sarah, who grew up with Zachery, his own. Unfortunately, the tumor returned and could not be stopped. He was predeceased by sister Linda Ellis; paternal grandfather Charles Ellis; maternal grandfather Benoit Comeau; mother and father in law Harold and Velma Reece; sister in law Linda Quaranto. Cremation has taken place and as per Paul’s request there will be no funeral service at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium in Yarmouth. Memorial Donations may be made to the Friends of Gilles Boudreau Cancer Help Fund.
