DOBSON, Paul Howard Collett – age 89 of Yarmouth passed away peacefully at Yarmouth Regional Hospital on May 22, 2016. Born in Lisbon Portugal on January 21, 1927 he was the son of the late Rev. Charles James Hamilton Dobson and Eleni Paolos “Helena” (Georgoulopoulos) Dobson. Paul was a war veteran serving both in the U.K. and Canada as well as a member of the Military police and Merchant Marine in the U.K. He was also a member of Yarmouth North Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Tannis Alexandra Dobson (Mark Baur), Bedford; and numerous nieces and nephews with a special thank you to friend Ruth St Germaine and nephew Gary for the years of kindness and care. Besides his parents Paul was predeceased by his loving wife Thelma Dobson; and sisters, Eleni Clio Marie Dobson (Pat Harrison) and Rosemary Dione Collett Dobson ( Ninian Hyslop). Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 2 P.M. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shawn Kehoe and Rev Raymond Corbett officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Yarmouth Regional Hospital Foundation , Yarmouth Legion Branch 61, or the Yarmouth Library for children’s books.
