STEVENS, Nelson Edward "Eddie" - 68, Digby, Passed away October 18 2015 peacefully at home. Born in Berwick he was the son of the late Nelson and Alicia (Spavold) Stevens. He was a member of the Rossway United Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife Lyndia; children Tina (Kevin) Wolfville; Derek Ashmore; Garth (Rebecca) Cornwallis; Rebecca (Craig) Welsford; Jeremy (Candi) Hamilton Ont.; Amanda (Justin) Lower Sackville; 14 grandchildren; sisters Beverly Wheeler; Pauline (Ronnie) Maiholz; brother Keith (Pat) Stevens; brother-in-law Howard Hill; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by first wife Harriet (McBride) Stevens; sister Elizabeth (Betty) Hill. No Visitation by family request. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Friday October 23 at the Rossway United Baptist Church with Rev. John Purdy and Pastor Linda DeMone officiating. Interment will follow in the Rossway Community Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Digby Legion.
