JEFFERY Marjorie Arlene - age 87 passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on October 25, 2013. Born in Chebogue Point, Yarmouth Co., N.S. on November 21, 1925 she was a daughter of the late William James and Gussie (Purdy) Gallagher. Marjorie was a member of the Evangel Assembly Church and enjoyed cross word puzzles and BINGO. She was a previous employee of the Poor Farm and later retired from Harbour side Lodge. Marjorie enjoyed reading her bible and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by daughters, Dianne (Steve) Taylor, Yarmouth; Nancy (Stephen) Goudey, Fredericton, N.B.; Linda (Guy) Muise, Yarmouth; Ann Moses ( Hank Nickerson), Yarmouth; Donna (Tony) Rossi, Halifax; Beverlee Jacquard, Yarmouth; Karen (Joe) Atkinson, Summerville, Yarmouth Co., N.S; sons, Stephen (Cara), South Ohio, Yarmouth Co.; David (Lisa), West Pubnico; Darrell, Prince George B.C.; brothers, Ray Gallagher, Halifax; Bruce Gallagher, Yarmouth; sister, Grace Smith, Yarmouth; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Morse; sisters, Lillian, Myrtle, Wynitta; brothers, James, Walter, Oliver, Herald, and Phillip; son in law, Laurie Moses. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Monday, October 28, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the Evangel Assembly Church with Rev. Oral Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in the Chebogue Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in Marjorie’s memory may be made to the Yarmouth/Argyle Home Support.
