LEBLANC, Marie “Mabel” – age 76, passed away on September 3, 2017 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville N.S. Born in Surette’s Island, Yarmouth Co; on May 21, 1941 she was a daughter to the late Alphie and Genevieve (Muise) LeBlanc. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sisters, Pauline LeBlanc, Lorraine Davis and Marie Cann. She is survived by sister, Bernice Doucette, New Hampshire; son, David (Natalie) LeBlanc, North Alton, N.S.; grandson, Josh LeBlanc, Oromocto, N.B.; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Mabel lived in Yarmouth most of her life until 2012 when she and Pauline came to reside in the Wolfville Elms. The family wishes to thank Dr. Adam Clarke and the staff of the ICU at Valley Regional Hospital for wonderful and compassionate care; and the staff at the Wolfville Elms, which she enjoyed as her second home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There will be no visitation by family request. A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 2 P.M. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Stephen Bourque officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
