SAUNDERS, Leota Ruth– age 28 of Brighton, Digby Co., N.S. passed away on January 23, 2015 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Windsor, N.S she was a daughter to Leota Saunders, Wedgeport and the late Laurie Saunders. She is survived by her daughter, Michaela, Digby, sons, Dylan and Jeffery, Windsor; brothers, Kelvin, Brooklyn, N.S.; Ryan, Walton, N.S.; sister, Laura Nauss, Halifax; grandmother, Helen Refuse; companion Frank Burgess; her dogs Carrie and Phoenix; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Besides her father Leota was predeceased by her brother, Gordon. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 1, 2015 from 1 p.m. until funeral time at 2 p.m. all in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Robert Baker will be officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Donation in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
