Condolence: A Tribute in Memory of Kenneth (Ken or Kenny) Delaney
A Hard Working Man.

Ken was a hard working man he was humble, honest and true;
In this lazy and loose living world we live in his kind number only a few.
A farmer, a butcher and peddler you could say he was a man of the sod;
His journey here is now over and he's in the full presence of God.

This is a promise from our loving Lord Jesus to all who believe;
But with this being said of course, his friends and loved ones will grieve.
There would be something wrong with this picture if such wasn't the case;
What a sad situation we would be in if it were not for God's mercy and grace.

Men like Kenny Delaney truly are a dying breed;
He did the work of five men and more people would be wise to take heed.
As the old saying goes no grass grew under his feet;
Those who knew him would tell you he was a hard man to beat.

Well up into his seventies he was still going steady;
If you were to liken him to a battery then he definitely would be “ever ready.”
When it came to driving a tractor there was none any better than Ken;
It would be hard not to score him a ten out of ten!

I'm sure he too, had his flaws just like all of us do;
but Kenny was well liked and respected by the people who knew.
As I've said he was a hard working man and he had a good name;
His body of flesh will return to the dust from whence it came.

But he's left us a remarkable legacy that for ever endure;
In regards to men of his stature God knows we could use a few more!
To his beloved wife, Patricia, who faithfully stood by his side;
His commitment to her never diminished from the day he took you as his bride.

Their love for each other grew stronger and they stuck together like glue;
It's straight from our hearts that we say our thoughts and prayers are with you.
To all family members and loved ones we sincerely share in your grief;
As for these heartfelt words that I've penned may they offer a bit of relief.

In the event of your loss we can rest fully assured;
That your departed loved one and friend is presently with his Saviour and Lord.
The reality is death is a doorway that we all are going to pass through some day;
Let's hope the words, “Well done, faithful servant” are the words we hear Jesus say.

I realize I've scratched only the surface of Kenny Delaney's life story;
For the eighty years granted to him, I say, to God be the Glory!

Condolence: Darlene,
Leah passed on the very sad news of your father. Gord and I send our sincere condolences to you and your family. I have read the other messages of sympathy and can see that your dad was a very kind, compassionate, thoughtful and hard working man; qualities that he has passed on to his daughter. We hope that your many fond memories of him help you through this difficult time. We will see you soon.
Hugs,

Condolence: Dear Pat & Family: We are truly saddened to learn of Ken's passing. We know the recent past has been a struggle for him and now he has found peace. He was a good friend who helped many of us along the way. Always special to visit him at the farm or meat shop which usually ended in a debate of some sort. Good memories are a consolation during these times. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as we share your loss.

Condolence: To Pat, Darlene, Kenny Jr, Jennifer, Jimmy and family:
As far back as I can remember Kenny has been part of my life. I (Barb) spent most of my childhood playing at the Delaney's home.
I have fond memories of Kenny always being a happy and joyful man who would do anything for anyone. He was a hard worker and treated his cows with humanity.
I remember playing in the hay mow with Jennifer and Kenny always being worried we would fall out and get hurt.
He was a workaholic like my father and he worked hard to support his family.
I looked up to him like a second father because I was around him so much.
I feel a great sense of loss at his passing but I know he had a full life.
I know he will continue to look after his family from heaven.
I know his passing will leave a hole in his families life.
Mom and I wish you all sincere and heartfelt sympathy for your loss.
There are few gentle souls in this world and I'm proud to say I grew up around one of them.
I am so thankful I had Kenny in my life.
Love Barb and Janet

Condolence: Ken was a giant in all descriptions of the word. A more gentle, kind, wise and hard working man we will never meet. His respect and understanding of the animals he raised was unique and he treated his friends with ultimate respect. Ken's shoes were huge and impossible for anyone we know to fill. You will forever be loved, respected and missed Ken. Thanks for the opportunity have known you.
