Obituary for Jean Margaret McKnight

McKnight, Jean Margaret, age 79 of Yarmouth, N.S. passed on to her reward in heaven during the week of February 26, 2016. Born in Saint John, N.B. on November 4, 1936 she was a daughter to the late Wesley McKnight and Esther (Craig) McKnight. Jean was employed by the Cotton Mill, Sears and Zellers over the years. Always very positive Jean was friendly, outgoing and enjoyed life. She loved to walk everywhere she went and was an avid reader. She is survived by her brothers Cecil (Barbara) McKnight of Kingston, N.S. and Hugh (Gen) McKnight of Fredericton, N.B. and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parent’s she was predeceased by her brother Wesley. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Monday March 21st, 2016 from 1-2 P.M. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel Celebration of life will be held Monday, March 21st at 2 P.M. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Symonds officiating. Interment will take place in Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in Jean’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Charity of Choice.
