D’ENTREMONT, Isabelle Irma – age 97, of Yarmouth, NS passed away on September 25, 2014 at The Meadows care facility. Born on April 5, 1917 in West Pubnico she was the daughter of the late Eva (Amirault) and Justinien Denis d’Entremont. Isabelle held the office of President of the Children of Mary of Saint Ambrose Cathedral Parish for 6 years. She worked at C.E. Dykes in Yarmouth for 12 years before moving to Montreal in 1947 to join her sister. Isabelle was employed for 7 years at the establishment of the Henry Morgan Department Store, first working in the Chinaware then in the Diamond Salon of the jewelry department. Isabelle’s next employment for 12 years was as receptionist and dental hygienist for Doctor Capelli, a Montreal Dentist in the town of Mount Royal where she and her sister lived. Upon her return to Yarmouth in 1969, she very happily worked as a receptionist for the dentist Dr. Morse Nickerson until her retirement in 1982 at 65 years of age, yet the Nickerson’s treated her as one of their family until her dying day. She is survived by her nephew Michael (Hectorine) d’Entremont, Bathurst, NB, Phil (Pam) d’Entremont , New Zealand, niece Suzanne d’Entremont (Cliff Briand), PEI, Patrice d’Entremont (Keith MacDonald), Mahone Bay and Halifax ,NS, Marc (Jane) d’Entremont, Hampton, NB, along with many nephews, nieces and great-great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Nelson and sister, Theresa. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There will be no visitation by family request. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Ambrose Cathedral Church with Father Pat O’Mera officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Parish Cemetery in West Pubnico. In lieu of flowers donations in Isabelle’s memory may be made to St. Ambrose Cathedral or charity of choice.
