Obituary for Gregory Kent Smith

Smith, Gregory Kent, age 62 of Yarmouth passed away May 18th, 2016 at the Yarmouth Hospital. Born in Yarmouth, N.S. on March 27th, 1954 he was a son to Patricia (Goodwin) Smith and the late Willis Oscar Smith. Gregory enjoyed staying active and spent a great deal of his spare time kayaking, skiing, riding his bike as well as going for walks. He spent many years working for both the Calgary Stampede as well as working at several labs where he tested various materials. He is survived by his mother, Patricia (Goodwin) Smith; brothers; David (Myra) Smith, Eel Brook; Wade Smith, Meteghan; Brian (Donna), Wedgeport and Blair Smith of Yarmouth; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his father Gregory was predeceased by his sisters, Deborah Anne Clark and Patricia “Kim” Delaney. At his request there will be no funeral. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
