George Lawrence  Moulaison
MOULAISON- George Lawrence-73, of Pleasant Valley, NS; passed away suddenly at home on May 14, 2015. Born in Yarmouth, to Eli and Ida (LeBlanc) Moulaison. Growing up, George was an altar boy at Saint Ambrose for years. He was a Lighthouse keeper with the Canadian Coast Guard for 20 years before accepting the early retirement package. George worked at Hurlburt’s Saw Mill for several years after retiring. In his down time, he enjoyed fishing, tinkering around the house, and playing his harmonica and accordion, playing horseshoes and participated in many tournaments. In one of the last times he played was with daughter, Shauna at the Yarmouth Exhibition. He also was an avid bowler, and won several championships and awards. He became a member of the Pleasant Valley Church choir in 2012. He loved life and helping people, and was not happy unless he could help them. If he couldn't help, he worried for months later. He is survived by his wife Anne Marie (Sabean) , Pleasant Valley; daughter, Shauna Young (Dominic), Pleasant Valley; son Kirk (Karen), Bridgewater; sisters, Rose Muise, Gladys Little, Clara (Victor) Deveau, Doreen (Jack) Boyd . Predeceased by brothers Peter and William (Bill). Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 12:00 noon until 2:00pm funeral time in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Cannell and Rev. Oral Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery at a later date. Donations in George’s memory may be made to the family or charity of choice.
