HANSON, Frederick Lea – age 76 of Yarmouth, passed away at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on October 21, 2015, with his wife Doris by his side. He was born in Digby on March 21, 1939, he was a son of the late Leander and Pauline (Denton) Hanson. Fred was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He was an electrical draftsman by trade during his working years. Fred loved the social life and enjoyed gatherings and the company of people. He is survived by his loving wife, Doris (Falls); daughters, Debbie van Soest, Kathy Jourdain, Robyn Hanson, and sons, Michael Brown, John Falls, and Corrie Falls; grandchildren, Anna Clerk, Shellie Clerk, Jacob Dwyer, Spencer Dwyer, Shasta Tangri, Amanda Gosby, Brandon Gosby, Matthew Gosby, Alixandra Falls, Erin Falls, Damon Falls, Devin Falls, and Jewel Hernandez. Besides his parents Frederick was predeceased by his brother, William. Funeral arrangements have entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium. Yarmouth. There will be no visitation by family request. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Greenville Cemetery. Donation in memory may be made to Colon Cancer Canada.
