Mike Lawrence

Dear Aunt Suzy, I was very saddened to hear about uncle Leroy’s passing. Uncles play a special role. Not being our father, they can be a friend and a supporter in a different way than anyone else in our lives. In the last few years that I visited uncle Leroy he could not speak or communicate but I am sure he was well aware of those around him especially you. He responded to your voice more than anyone else especially when you would sing to him. I hope the wonderful memories and the love you shared with uncle Leroy comfort you in some way at this time. While it may be difficult at this time you should keep singing every day. Unfortunately, I will be unable to make it to the service but I wanted you to know that I will be thinking about you. I look forward to seeing you at Christmas, having lunch and possibly sharing a mincemeat pie, if you can make that happen. Your nephew, Mike Lawrence, Ottawa
