Obituary for Elizabeth Margaret Cottreau

COTTREAU, Elizabeth M. - age 76, of Yarmouth N.S. passed away on February 4, 2017 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth on June 30, 1940 she was a daughter to the late George and Leona (DesChamps) Boudreau . Elizabeth worked part time in retail and was a member of the Catholic Woman’s League and Catholic Choir. In her spare time she loved to read ,was an avid Bingo player, and loved to watch movies, especially horror. Her grandchildren were her greatest love along with her husband and family. She is survived by Laura Mary(Shaun) Pitman, Pleasant Lake; sons, John Lawrence, Yarmouth ; Timothy Martin (April), Woods Harbour; David Wayne (Lynn), Yarmouth; brothers, Robert (Bernice) Boudreau, Harvey (June) Boudreau; sisters, Catherine Hilchie, Lorraine (William) Durkee, Genevieve Purdy; and grandchildren, Chelsea Cottreau, Cody Cottreau, Samuel Pitman , Bailey Pitman. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Lawrence; brothers, Richard, Victor and Vincent Boudreau; and sisters, Venice Hilchie, Marriam Muise, and Gladys Jones. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth . Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 2 P.M. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Father Henry Smolenaars officiating . There will be no visitation by family request. Interment will take place at a later date. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to N.S. Heart and Stroke Foundation .
