MOOD (Gray), Nellie "Elaine" - 86, was called home to meet her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 with her family by her side. Born in Yarmouth County, on August 16, 1928 she was the daughter of Warren and Irene (Thurber) Gray. Her life revolved around her family and church. She enjoyed cooking, reading and adopting stray pets. Elaine is survived by her sons: Kevin (Marilyn), Bridgewater, N.S.; Kendrick (Carolyn), East Kemptville, N.S.; Derek (Jeannie), East Kemptville, N.S.; daughters: Sandra (Wayne) Hayes, New Maryland, N.B.; Heather Mood (Harold Buzzell) Smithfield, Maine; grandchildren, Krista, Karen, Kara, Meagan, Trevor, Ryan, Darren, Cole; and six great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald (Helen) Gray, Deerfield, N.S., and Lyndon (Ansonia) Gray, Bridgewater, N.S. She was predeceased by her loving husband Max Mood; her parents Warren and Irene Gray; and sister Kathryn Gray Doucette. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in Sweeny's Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Sweeny's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joey Ring. Interment will follow in Hatfield Memorial Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations in memory can be made to Meadows Nursing Home, Yarmouth, N.S. or charity of your choice.
