Donna Kitter-Lloy
Donna passed on to be with her Lord (and her butterflies) on March 20, 2018. She was born in Westmount, Quebec, June 24, 1961. Donna is survived by her husband Milford of 36 years, her parents Philip and Loretta Kitter , sister Vicky(Neil) Kitter Kelly, niece Terri Kitter all of Yarmouth, NS. Step sons Paul (Lila) Lloy, Calgary AB; John Lloy (Laura,) Fort Francis, Ont., and Peter Lloy, Yarmouth, NS.; special daughter Rebecca Bourque and son in law Rob Corporon; special friend Chase Corporon and very special cousin Jane Green of England. Donna graduated from Yarmouth High School and went on to graduate from NS Teacher College in Truro in 1982. She also furthered her education by studying at the University of Calgary in Alberta. She was employed by Kitllo Resources in Calgary and went on to be CEO of this firm for the past 30 years. Donna generously devoted her time and talents to many causes that were dear to her heart. She enjoyed the Garden Club, CWL, director of South Ohio Community Centre, member of South Ohio Community Centre Volunteer Society, Past President of Ladies Yarmouth Hospital Auxiliary, and a Director of Yarmouth Hospital Foundation. She was always willing and very effective at telephone communications for her many causes .Donna will be sadly missed by her family, friends and very special girls Reba and Rosy. Her wishes were to be cremated and in lieu of flowers donations be made to VON Nursing Equipment Fund and/or Yarmouth Hospital Foundation Fund. Visitation will be held, Saturday March 24th at Sweeney’s Funeral Home Chapel from 7 to 9 pm with 8:30pm being set aside as time for prayers. Funeral service will be held at Yarmouth Wesleyan Church, 2pm on Sunday March 25th, with Pastor A.J. Plaizer presiding. A heartfelt appreciation to Emily Lent for her devoted care of Donna during her illness, she was always there for Donna and her family.
A special thanks to Donna’s doctors, VON and to the many caregivers who assisted her during this time and a special thanks to Peter my son for his dedication to Donna and her care . Final arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth.
