Bernice Rose  Crosby
Bernice Rose Crosby (ne Vacon) passed away peacefully at Villa Saint-Joseph Du Lac on April 22, 2018. Born in Quinan, May 20, 1928, she was the daughter of Mary Louise Vacon (ne Muise). Bernice was a homemaker and a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Except for briefly living in Liverpool at an early age, she lived all her life in the Yarmouth area. A dedicated blood donor, Bernice received a special recognition award from the Canadian Red Cross for her outstanding donor services. She was an ardent card player and loved to bowl. She was a long time member of the C.N.I.B. Bernice was known for her love of music, especially old country music. She is survived by children Charles (Sharon)Crosby ,Barrie, Ontario; Louise (Ray)Zinck, Wellington; Grace Crosby, Rockland, Maine; Douglas Crosby , Yarmouth; Olive (James)Murwin, Halifax along with grandchildren Lisa, Rhonda, Jessica, Kelly, James and great grandchildren Taylor and Matthew and her special friend Ozzie. She was predeceased by her husband Clyde and Brother Willard (Mass.) There will be no visitation by her request. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A funeral service will be held at St. Ambrose Cathedral on Monday April 30, 2018 at 11 A.M. with Deacon Bruce Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow Chebogue (Town Point) Cemetery. A reception will take place in the Saint Ambrose Jubilee Room. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Gilles Boudreau Cancer Help Fund. The family would like to thank the staff of Woodland Unit at The Villa Saint- Joseph Du Lac for their care and compassionate love.
