Obituary for Anthony Gordon "Tony" Fenton

FENTON, Anthony “Tony” Gordon -55 of the Yarmouth passed away on August 26, 2013 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth on October 28, 1957 he was the son of Lawrence Henry Fenton and Frances Edna (Johnson) Fenton. Tony loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. He was an avid outdoorsman , loved fishing and gardening. He enjoyed fixing things and was very mechanically inclined. In his spare time he could be found cooking or watching movies. His favorite were westerns. Besides his parents he is survived by his former wife Ruby Johnson, N.B; brothers, Lawrence Patrick, ON; Robert “Bobbie” (Pam), Yarmouth; Peter (Julie), Yarmouth; Michael (Connie), Yarmouth; sisters, Grace Fenton, Yarmouth; Sandra Fenton, ON; Bonnie (Bill) Doucette, Yarmouth; Kim Fenton , Yarmouth; and 13 nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 29 from 7-9 p.m. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held Friday, August 30 at 2 p.m. from the Evangel Assembly Church with Pastor Oral Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery. Donations in Tony’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
