ANTHONY LLOYD CHALLONER – (October 4th 1945 – April 5th 2017)
Devoted and loving husband to Mary (Saulnier) Challoner for 53 years. A great dad to Angela (Daniel) Marginson, Calvin Challoner, Jennifer (Jim) Miller, Fraser (Lisa) Challoner, Aaron (Charlene) Challoner, Beth (Tim) Nickerson. Grampy to Adam, Michael, Jacob, Dominic, Brandon, Kiersten, Riley, Laken, Kayla, and Hannah. Great Grampy to Mason, Nicholas, and Cooper. Loving big brother to Kim (Larry) Muise, Heather (Rose) Challoner, Tracey (Joey) Colquhoun, and his little brother Kelly Challoner. He was predeceased by his mom Jean (Bethune) Challoner, his dad Lloyd Challoner, his brother Larry Challoner, and his sister Elaine (Challoner) Thibeau. He held the title of “UNCLE ANTHONY” to numerous nieces and nephews, as well as, to many other people who got to know him over the years. He had a unique sense of humor and was known to play jokes and pranks. He loved to make people laugh or gag, whatever tickled him to get a laugh, and it was easy to laugh with him. His forever poke in the ribs, just to make you jump, many will remember those, oh yeah he would be grinning and laughing. That little squeeze on your shoulder, his way of letting you know he cared. He had a big heart and would do anything for anyone, even with his last dollar, he would figure something out to help. One of his favorite saying when times were tough, “things will work out, it will be ok” and it usually did. Anthony was a mechanic for most of his working life. Some would say he was a great mechanic, and that they learned a lot from him, his sons included. With his love of cars and fixing them up, he was known to many people over the years. This great man made a huge impact on most people who got to meet him in his life time. He will be remembered, loved, and missed so much; by so many people. Especially his sweetheart and soulmate, his loving wife Mary.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
