VICKERY, Alice Barbara – age 90, of Yarmouth Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2017 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Kelley’s Cove, Yarmouth Co., she was a daughter to the late Albert and Millie (MacKinnon) Penney. Alice was a housewife and loved her family dearly. She was a devoted member of Yarmouth North Baptist Church and loved to knit and paint in her spare time. She also had a great love of everything Elvis. She is survived by her daughters, Wendy (George) Belliveau, Woods Harbour; Trudy (Larry) Olsen, Pembroke; Ronna (Brent) Jamieson, Yarmouth; son, Tommie (Alvina), Chebogue; brother, Carl Penney, Maine USA; sisters, Shirley (Delphis) Doucette, Rockville; Judy (Kenneth) Devine, Kelley’s Cove; grandchildren, Cindy, Corey, Treena, Darren, Blake, Logan; 8 great grandchildren, Chera, Cody, Nolan, Colin, Jordan, Kylie, Ethan and Renee; and 1 great great grandson on the way. Besides her parents Alice was predeceased by her husband George; sister, Audrey Pitman; and brothers, Herbert, Gene and Ronald. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Thursday June 15, 2017 from 7-9 P.M. in Sweenys home chapel. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 16, 2017 at 2 P.M. in Sweenys Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. A. D. “Bill” Newell officiating. Interment will follow in Chebogue Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church Hall (61 William Street, Yarmouth) following the burial. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Chebogue Cemetery or Yarmouth North Baptist Church.
