Obituary for Albert John Gaudet

GAUDET, Albert John- age 84, of the Meadow’s Home for Special Care, passed away at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on December 31, 2013. Born in Yarmouth on March 1, 1929 he was the son of the late John and Leah (Comeau) Gaudet. Albert was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family dearly. Albert was a local businessman for many years that owned and operated his own home oil delivery company initially with Fina and later Petro Canada. Prior to owning his business he was an employee of Superior and then Farmers Dairy. He is survived by his daughter Karen Gaudet, Yarmouth; sister, May Glode; grandchildren, Brooke and Bryce Dauphinee; and 2 nieces and one nephew. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his loving wife, Myrna (Hanf); brother, Charles; and niece, Jacqueline. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 2 p.m in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Father Gerald David officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
