Obituary for Hilda White

WHITE Hilda Geraldine- age 84 of Overton, N.S. and formerly of Pleasant Valley passed away on April 10, 2017 at the Yarmouth Hospital. Born in East Kemptville, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Hazel (Hurlburt) White. Hilda was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She worked in the retail business and also as a waitress at the Royal Store. She is survived by 2 nieces Verna Melanson, Plympton, Digby Co., Leona Nicholl, Deerfield, Yarmouth Co.,3 Nephews Charles Hanf, Overton, N.S., Milton Hanf, Carleton, Yarmouth Co., and George Hanf , Pleasant Valley, Yarmouth Co. She was predeceased by a sister Irma Hanf. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 17, 2017 from the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Cannell officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweenys Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth.
