Condolence: A Tribute In Memory of Bill Bullerwell

Yes, we all have our issues
and some more so than others;
In the eyes of the Lord
we are all sisters and brothers.
Bill battled his demons
right to the very end;
I really felt for this man
because he was my friend.
But Bill's battle is over now
and his soul is in the Lord's Hands;
We can take comfort in knowing
that our God understands.
I knew Bill Bullerwell
my entire life;
And my heart sincerely goes out
to his friends, family and wife.
In spite of his addiction
Bill was loved by us all;
Death cannot be avoided
someday we will all get the call.
Bill's trade was carpentry and construction
but his construction days here are done;
And his soul now rests in the hands
of the most Merciful One.
He knows the number of hairs on our head
and He knows us all by our name;
The body that housed the spirit of Bill
will return to the dust whence it came.
As for the fond memories we have of him
they will live on in our hearts and minds evermore
By hIs friends, family and loved ones
Bill will be missed, that's for sure.
Again, I know Bill had issues
but he still was my friend;
I trust some hope has been offered
in and through these verses I've penned.
I realize that I've scratched only the surface
of Bill's actual life story;
The gift given to me to express it
I give God all of the glory.
For the seventy years granted to Bill
thanks to the Good Lord up above;
We can all rest assured knowing
that He's a God of mercy and love.
What can separate us from His love
absolutely nothing, we're told;
No, not even death
can break our Precious Lord's hold.
The last think I'm going to say
in the signing off of Bill's story;
Are these five following words
To God be the Glory.
