LAWRENCE, Thelma “Suzy” Muriel – age 85, of Greenville, Yarmouth Co. N.S. Passed away peacefully on February 22,2020 with her family by her side in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth on February 10,1935 she was a daughter to the late Perley and Ruby (Thompson) Jarvis. Suzy was a woman like no other. She possessed the qualities of an Angel (Glorious, Modest and Holy) She led a giving, dedicated and joyful life. Those that knew Suzy will remember her beauty, style and we cannot forget “those” shoes. Love illuminated from Suzy and this wasn’t only towards family and friends but extended towards everyone she met. Her working career consisted of Eaton's (Montreal) and Sobeys in Yarmouth. She is survived by her sons, Ellsworth Leroy “Jr” (Maxine) Lawrence, Yarmouth; Tony (Angela), Lawrence, Ontario; Elton (Katrina), Lawrence, Edmonton; daughter, Corrine Lawrence, Vancouver; sisters, Mildred Jarvis Eskins of Montreal, Louise (William) Crawford of Greenville; brothers, Glendon (Vera “Betty”) of Greenville; Melvin (Ethel) of Greenville; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Besides her parents Suzy was predeceased by her loving husband, Ellsworth Leroy Lawrence Sr and her brothers, Louis, Everett, Maynard and Howard. Visitation will be held Tuesday February 25,2020 from 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will take place Wednesday February 26,2020 at 2 P.M. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Gates and Rev. Raymond Pitcher officiating. Interment will follow in Greenville Cemetery. A reception will follow the burial at the Temple Baptist Church Community Hall (5 Bond Street). Family flowers only please.
