Obituary for Terrance "Terry" Jospeh Doucette

Terrance “Terry” Doucette of Chebogue passed away unexpectedly on August 1, 2022. Born in Yarmouth, he was a son to Anne Marie Goudey and the late Joseph Doucette. Terry was a loving husband, father and grampy. He was a family man who coached his boys in both soccer and hockey, and kept busy attending sporting events with them. He worked for Cook’s Dairy for many years, but he was a carpenter by trade and selflessly gave up 4 months to help his son Taylor build his family's home. Terry loved the Lord and spent much of his time serving others. He ran a soup kitchen and the men's breakfast through the church. He worked with the homeless and would literally give them the sandals off his feet. Terry shared that he felt most fulfilled when he was on mission in Haiti. Terry is survived by his mother, Anne Marie; loving wife, Charlene; sons, Taylor (daughter in-law Josie), White Rock; Aaron (daughter in-law Brooke), Kentville; grandchildren, Scarlett, Eva, Micah, Savannah, Nico, and one on the way; sisters, Verna Doucette LeBlanc (Roy); Joyce MacIsaac; Joan Doucette; Mary Lou Kennedy (Ted); Faye d’Entremont (Bill); brother, Randy Doucette (April). He was predeceased by father, Joseph; sister, Jacqueline “Lynn”. A memorial service will take place Monday, August 8, 2022 at 11 a.m. from the Yarmouth Wesleyan Church, Pastor David Hockley officiating. Family flowers only, in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Chebogue Cemetery. Online condolences are available at: sweenys@sweenysfuneralhome.net
