Obituary for Tara Lee Amon

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Tara Lee Amon at the age of 45 in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia on October 22, 2023. Born June 11, 1978, she was a daughter to Burton (Carol) Amon and Donna (Scott) Amon. Tara was the kindest most supportive individual who would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. Although she had some struggles throughout her life she overcame them with resilience and was an amazing mother and grandmother. Tara’s grandchildren brought her great joy and meant the world to her. Tara found her calling in life and became a great CCA worker whom the residents loved and will surely miss. Besides Tara’s parents, she is survived by her daughters Allison Bailey Forbes (Dylan), Halifax; Hayley Forbes (Robbie), Yarmouth; sisters, Erin (Rob) Amon, Deerfield; Shelby (Ryan) Amon, Windsor; and her cherished grandchildren; Dominic, Abel, Estella, Everleigh; as well as many aunts, uncles, and friends. Tara was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Emile and Mariette Deveau; as well as paternal grandparents Phil and Estella Amon; she was also predeceased by her common-law partner Sandy Murphy; aunt, Cheryl Earle;uncle, Bob Earle; and cousin, Chris Amon. Cremation has taken place under the care of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A celebration of life will be held in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 2 P.M. . A visitation will be 1-2 p.m. before the service. Deacon Bruce Hubbard Officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Following the interment, a reception will be held at Marion Hall (65 Green Street).
