Obituary

Tambra Ann Courtemanche -With a very heavy heart we announce that our dear Tambra Ann Courtemanche, born November 6, 1959 in Fitchburg, MA, passed away in hospital in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia on December 16, 2020. She fought a brave battle with breast cancer for 4 years. Tambra loved the outdoors, especially flowers and plants but her favorite was the oak tree and acorns. She lived part-time in Nova Scotia for the past 3 years overlooking the beautiful Bay of Fundy. She loved tending to her garden and feeding any stray animal that came by. She was a devoted teacher for 28 years and dearly loved every one of her students. She had a heart of gold and always put others before herself. She will be greatly missed! Tambra received her Bachelor of Arts from Florida Atlantic University in 1983, her Bachelor of Science In Education from Fitchburg State College in 1989 and her Masters of Science at Nova South-eastern University in 2003. She was a life long learner that was always up for a new challenge. She is survived by her husband of 2 years, Terry Statters; mother, Annette Courtemanche; brother and sister-in-law, Lance and Patrice Courtemanche; nephew ,Landon, nieces Lauren and Jordin ; also her Godchild Chris Roth; life long friends, Konie Brudwick of Minnesota and Erica Wendell Oglesby of New Mexico; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Tambra's final resting place will be in Nova Scotia, due to logistical challenges created by the current Covid restrictions, no traditional services will be held. Please join us in honoring her memory privately. On-line condolences may be sent to: sweenysfh@eastlink.ca or you may sign the guestbook on-line at: www.sweenysfuneralhome.net
