Deviller, Sydney “Sid”, Yarmouth passed away January 25,2021 in Halifax. Born in Digby, May 7,1952, he was a son to the late Richard and Grace (Lewis) Deviller. Sid was a great storyteller and a lover of all people. He would give you the shirt off his back. He enjoyed going to the wharf and having his coffee. He was hard worker and did general labour for a career along with dipping kayak’s for over 35 years. He loved animals and had a special place in his heart for them. He had a hard exterior but a sensitive man on the inside. He is survived by his spouse, Evelyn Adams; son, Joshua (Brittany) Adams; stepchildren, Nathan Larkin; Terra Larkin; Stephanie (Ian) Mumford; Miranda McDonald; siblings, Douglas; Ron; Avery (Terra); Margaret (James) Hammerhan; Dale Gavel; Judy Sears; Susan (Donnie) Mahaney; Rick (Tania); John; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Beside his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Myles and Scott. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A Memorial Service will take place, Monday, February 1,2021 at 2pm from the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. A.J. Plaizer officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Association of Nova Scotia.
