Obituary for Stephanie Nicole Penney

Stephanie Nicole Penney
November 29, 1982- March 26, 2020

Stephanie “Steph” Nicole Penney (37) was born in Yarmouth, N.S. on November 29,1982. She
is the daughter of the late Neil Penney and Cindy Haun (Stewart) of Little Brook.
Stephanie passed away suddenly, but peacefully, at the QE2 hospital on March 26, 2020.
Stephanie had a huge heart and was so kind, caring and loving. Most people have recently
seen Stephanie at the Yarmouth Walmart, where she worked as a cashier. She always had a
smile on her face and was ready to have a conversation as she rang you through. She had a
love for animals. If she wasn’t bringing them home, the kids would. She also enjoyed working on
puzzles, Harry Potter and adding to her very large Funko Pop collection. The thing Stephanie
enjoyed most and took great pride in, was being a mother to her eight children, Marlea (19),
Christopher (18), Talea (16), Kaden (14), Connor (13), Sierra (12), Atticus (9) and Zuri (5).
Stephanie also enjoyed watching her children play various sports. She was their biggest fan.
They were her world. Stephanie is survived by her boyfriend William “Billy” Crowell, Yarmouth,
N.S., sister Heidi (Connor) McLeod, niece and three nephews Liam, Lily, Hunter and Elijah,
Timberlea, N.S., maternal grandfather Loren Stewart, Oshawa,ON. Along with many aunts,
uncles and cousins.

Stephanie was predeceased by her father Neil Penney, Yarmouth, N.S., her paternal
grandparents, Margaret (Deveau) and Stanley Penney, Yarmouth, N.S., maternal grandmother,
Dorothy “Jean” (Wannamaker) Stewart, Oshawa, ON. Arrangements have been entrusted to
Sweeny’s Funeral Home in Yarmouth. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
