Obituary for Shirley Throp

Shirley Throp
The Family of Shirley Throp would like to announce her peaceful passing on October 23, 2017 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born on May 21, 1924, she was the Daughter of the late Joseph and Pearl (Rubin) Margolian. Shirley spent her entire life in Yarmouth and was well known in the retail community, first in her family business Margolians and then making a dream come true with Shirlee's Shoppe. Throughout her lifetime, she was active volunteering and donating to various organizations and events. We shall fondly remember her style, grace, love for people and most of all her enormous zest for life. She had the ability to connect with people from all generations. In 1971, Shirley married the love of her life, Frank Throp, and enjoyed many wonderful years together at their Lake Milo home. Her family was her pride and joy and always looked forward to making treasured memories. She is survived by her son, Randy (Lisa) Beiner ; and children, Alexandra, Joseph, Kailey, Daylynn and Zander. Her daughter, Stephanie (Beiner) Dickison; her children, Ryan (Tangye) and Ashlee. Also, her nephews, Robert Sidler, Louis Matorin and her "special" niece, Karen ( Don) Cormier. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank Throp, her sisters, Bernyce Sidler and Norma Matorin. A Celebration of Shirley's Life will be held at the Yarmouth Golf and Country Club on November 4, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Yarmouth Regional Hospital Foundation or a Charity of your choice. A special thank you to Dr. Roland Muise and the nursing staff for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Shirley and her family.
