Surette, Sheldon Stacey, 45, of Waterville, formerly of Little River Harbour, passed away, with his family by his side, February 28, 2019, in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth, he is a son to Gary and Sharon (O’Connell) Surette, Little River Harbour. Sheldon has spent the last 28 years living at the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre. He enjoyed making jigsaw puzzles, the water, and swimming. He was fascinated by all animals and frequently visited the Oaklawn Farm Zoo. He especially loved his stuffed animals. When his parents visited, they went to KFC, his favorite restaurant. Sheldon had a heart of gold and could give the best hugs, sometimes squeezing way too tight. Besides his parents, he is survived by brothers, Dason (Yvette) Surette, Little River Harbour; Troy (Mary Jane Leblanc) Surette, Comeau’s Hill; niece Lillian; nephew Isaac; maternal grandfather Henry “Miff” O’Connell, Yarmouth. Sheldon is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family at Kings Regional Rehabilitation Center. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Delbert and Violet (O’Connell) Surette and maternal grandmother Hazel (Fitzgerald) O’Connell. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Monday, March 4, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm from the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at 2pm from the Evangel Assembly Church, Yarmouth. Rev. Nathan Hill officiating. Interment at a later date in the St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Comeau’s Hill. Family flowers only please. Thank you to each and everyone, who helped him through his journey of life.
