Sandra Carey Ford (White)
FORD Sandra, age 70, passed away peacefully at home in Port Maitland after a brief illness with her family by her side. Sandra was born April 29, 1947 in Forest Glen, Yarmouth Co., and was a daughter to Olive and the late Malcolm White. She is survived, and will be deeply missed, by her husband, Denton Ford; brother, Malcolm (Harriet) White; sister, Marsha (Tom Bickford); son, Clayton (Krista Belliveau); stepchildren, Wendy (Greg Mood); Steve (Darlene); 7 grandchildren; 4 great granddaughters; several nieces and nephews; and her soul sister Carole Brown Slade. Besides her father she was predeceased by her brother, Ernie White. For 32 years she worked with Peter Hipson doing bookwork where she will be terribly missed. Sandra was a member of the Pleasant Lake Baptist Church and loved to paint, work outdoors, and play with rocks. She was great cook, and a talented seamstress. She had a love for all animals and was great friend to many, always being there for anyone who needed her. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Cremation has taken place with a Celebration of Life being held Monday April 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Moses officiating. A private family interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery in South Ohio. Family flowers only please.
